Here we are donating 2 dachshunds to the St Anthony’s Hospital Benefit.
One of the biggest reasons why we do what we do is because we love to complete families. It really is an honor to meet the wonderful families we have helped to heal after a loss, and complete young couples embarking on a new beginning with a first puppy. We never know where it will lead us. The joy is remarkable.
Each year we pick a family and we discount, and in a select few cases we have donated a puppy. They don’t know it and we never tell them. That’s the beauty of it. We hear that one heart wrenching tale and I know I won’t be able to sleep until I help heal them.
If you watch the My fight video you will see my own struggle. I have to say if it wasn’t for the wonderful clients we have, the family relationships we built... We would have lost our home, our dogs, we wouldn’t have eaten. And I think that says so much about all of you. The donations, the food, the gifts. My heart will always be humbled.
We do what we do because those relationships matter so much to us. And I had no idea how much they mattered to all of you as well. So THANK YOU to EVERYONE that helped us and prayed for us during My fight.
You reaffirmed my faith.
You touched Me so deeply. And I will continue to give forward.
A special Thank you to Kriss Schaeffer who came all the way from Ringgold, Ga. during my Chemo
A special Thank you to My son Brett, for becoming a father to his brothers, a friend to me and who had to see and endure what no child should at his age.
And a special Thanks to Lisa T. Who kept my food cold and my head pretty
And a special Thanks to Kim Bennett-Ervin who had never met us and made sure we had food, clothes toiletries. Who took the time to hold my hand, sew my sons pants for graduation when I couldn’t stand up and who continues to brighten this world every day!
